The University of South Florida in collaboration with Shortwood Teachers' College offers a Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Education.
Admission Criteria

Bachelors Degree in one of the following areas:
- Early Childhood Education
- Primary Education
- Child Development, or any other related area
- Shall have earned a 'B' (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) average or better in all work attempted while registered as a student working for a baccalaureate degree, that is 1st Class Honours, Upper Second Class Honours.

ONLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN UPPER SECOND CLASS HONOURS
Procedures

Request that the following documents be sent to Shortwood Teachers' College:
- Transcript of Bachelor's Degree and Teachers'
- Diploma (if first degree is not in Early Childhood Education)
- Three professional recommendations
- Complete an official application form which should be returned to the college with the Application Fee of US$30.00 money order made payable to the University of South Florida, in addition to a local processing fee of JA$900.00. These fees are non-refundable. Forms are available at the College.
- Complete also an application form for the College.
Bursary / Scholarship
The cost is US$10,000.00 for the entire programme and is payable over the 6 semesters at US$770.00 per course. This compares well with programmes being offered by other overseas universities.
